Peel played this on one of his BFBS shows from a CD he’d been given as a present. Eddie C. Campbell learned the blues from Muddy Waters and rubbed shoulders with luminaries such as Willie Dixon and Howlin’ Wolf (other Peel favourites). This track is just about as cool as you’re going to get for the Yule, and it’s comforting to know that at the age of 70, Campbell released a new album and is still active in Chicago today.
